The Jelica & Jam comics are very reminiscent of the Calvin and Hobbes Sunday comics involving grand flights of fancy. I only did a handful around September 2007.

| We had this board book where you put in a photo of yourself, so your face was part of the illustrations. And it was you and Minnie Mouse doing a bunch of different dances from around the world. This comic is definitely copying that, especially those jazzy tap outfits. |

I was also really into drawing pioneer ladies in their big skirts.
